Instrucciones para los autores

1. Estudios Econmicos considerar para su posible publicacin manuscritos escritos en espaol o ingls, siempre y cuando no hayan sido ya publicados o se estn sometiendo para su publicacin en otro medio. En el caso de aceptacin de trabajos en ingls, el autor ser responsable de la forma estilstica del manuscrito.

2. La revista acepta el envo de manuscritos y notas. Actualmente, no se consideran reseas de libros.

3. Por lo regular, el proceso de revisin no llevar ms de 16 semanas a partir de la recepcin del manuscrito.

4. Antes del envo, los autores deben asegurarse de que el manuscrito no viola el cdigo de tica de la revista, en particular, las obligaciones ticas de los autores.

5. Los trabajos debern estar escritos en Word a doble espacio en Times New Roman 12 (con las ecuaciones en Math Type) o bien en formato PcTex.

6. La primera pgina del manuscrito debe contener la siguiente informacin.

a. El ttulo del artculo, el nombre de los autores, nombre de la institucin a la que pertenecen los autores, direccin postal y sus correos electrnicos.

b. Resmenes del manuscrito en espaol e ingls no mayor a 100 palabras cada uno.

c. Tres cdigos, al menos, de clasificacin del tema de acuerdo con el Journal of Economic Literature (JEL). Haga clic aqu.

d. Hasta cinco palabras clave, tanto en espaol como ingls.

e. Si el manuscrito es aceptado para su publicacin, en los agradecimientos deben incluirse fuentes de financiamiento de la investigacin u otras ayudas financieras recibidas. Dicha informacin debe ponerse en una nota al pie de la pgina del ttulo del artculo y no podr exceder las 30 palabras.

7. Las ecuaciones deben estar editadas en MathType o PcTex y numerarse consecutivamente con nmeros arbigos entre parntesis y alineados a la derecha.

8. Las notas deben aparecer en la parte inferior de cada pgina.

9. La primera vez que un acrnimo o abreviatura se utiliza en el texto, se debe precisar.

10. Cualquier palabra que deber aparecer en cursiva debe ser subrayada.

11. Los cuadros y grficas deben ser reproducibles y manejables, llevarn un nmero consecutivo.

12. Las citas deben aparecer como sigue: Arrow (1971) o (vase Malinvaud, 1981: 1365).

13. Las referencias deben aparecer en orden alfabtico y con el formato siguiente:

. Arrow, K.J. 1971. Essays in the Theory of Risk Bearing, Chicago, Markham.

. Malinvaud, E. 1981. Econometrics faced with the needs of macroeconomic policy, Econometrica, 49: 1363-1376.

. Phelps, E.S. 1983. The trouble with 'rational expectations' and the problem of inflation stabilization, in R. Frydman and E.S. Phelps (eds.), Individual Forecasting and Aggregate Outcomes, Cambridge, Cambridge University Press.

Una vez que est editado el manuscrito, se enviar a los autores para su revisin y deteccin de posibles errores. El Director y el Editor se reservan el derecho de hacer cambios gramaticales a un manuscrito aceptado antes de su publicacin.

Declaracin de privacidad

Los nombres y direcciones de correo electrnico utilizados en el proceso de envos slo sern utilizados para fines editoriales y no sern puestos a disposicin de terceros.

Derechos de autor

Los autores ceden los derechos a El Colegio de Mxico, A.C. del manuscrito aceptado para la publicacin y distribucin del artculo, en su formato impreso y electrnico. Los autores mantienen sus derechos sobre el artculo para distribuirlo de forma gratuita con fines acadmicos o cientficos. En caso de la reedicin de artculos (incluye traducciones) publicados originalmente en Estudios Econmicos debe solicitarse permiso escrito al Director de la revista.

Instructions for Authors

1. Estudios Econmicos will consider for possible publication articles written in Spanish or English, provided they contain unpublished work and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. In case the work is accepted for publication in English, the authors will be solely responsible for the style of the final document.

2. The journal accepts submissions of full-length articles and shorter notes. The journal does not currently publish book reviews.

3. Normally, the revision process will not take more than 16 weeks after the manuscript is received.

4. Before submission, the authors should ensure that the manuscript does not breach the Code of Ethics of the journal, in particular the Ethical Obligations of Authors

5. Papers must be written double-spaced either in Word, Times New Roman 12 (equations in Math Type) or in PcTex format.

6. The first page of the manuscript should contain the following information.

a. The title of the article, the names of the authors, the institutional affiliations of the authors, and complete postal and electronic addresses.

b. An abstract of the article in both English and Spanish of at most 100 words each.

c. At least three Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) subject codes. Please click here for more information.

d. Up to five keywords.

e. If the manuscript is accepted for publication all acknowledgments including sources of research funding and the disclosure of other financial support received should be inserted into a footnote on the title page of the article.

7. Equations must be formatted using either Math Type or PcTex and should be numbered consecutively using an arabic number enclosed in parenthesis, flush right.

8. Footnotes must appear at the bottom of each page.

9. The first time that an acronym or abbreviation is used in the text, it should be spelled out.

10. Any words that are to appear in italics should be underlined.

11. All tables and figures must be reproducible and number consecutively.

12. Citations must appear as follows: Arrow (1971) or (see Malinvaud, 1981: 1365).

13. At the end of the text the references should appear in alphabetical order as:

. Arrow, K.J. 1971. Essays in the Theory of Risk Bearing, Chicago, Markham.

. Malinvaud, E. 1981. Econometrics faced with the needs of macroeconomic policy, Econometrica, 49: 1363-1376.

In case the work is accepted for publication, the authors may elect between publishing the paper in Spanish or in English. Note, however, that if the latter option is chosen, the authors will be solely responsible for the style of the final document.

Authors of submissions that have been accepted for publication will after typesetting receive proofs to check for errors. The Editor and the Managing Editor reserve the right to make grammatical changes to an accepted manuscript before publication.

Privacy Statement

All names and email addresses used in the submissions process will only be used for editorial purposes and will not be made available to third parties.

Copyright Notice

Accepted authors must transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher of the journal to enable the publication and distribution of the article in both print and electronic formats. The authors retain the rights to distribute the article free of charge for academic or scientific purposes. For the republication of articles (including translations) originally published in Estudios Economicos, written permission must be obtained from the Editor
