NGOs say the debt crisis is the most pressing problem of the G20

Cannes (France), Nov 3 Various NGOs have complained today that the debt crisis in the U.S. and
Europe is gaining all of the attention at the start of the G20 summit, when the food price crisis also
needs attention.
NGO representatives attending the G20 summit that began today in the French city of Cannes have
asked the leaders of the group of developed and emerging countries to listen to their proposals to solve
pressing world problems like poverty and security food.
"This is something new," acknowledged Carlos Zarco, director of Oxfam Mexico, who warned of
"uncertainty bombs" thrown by representatives of "global capitalism" with its debt crisis and the

proposals to stop the spread of hunger as a result of drought, rising food prices and conflict ".
The organization asked to maintain and fulfill the commitments made by the G20 in 2009 in Italy, to
finance and protect small-scale farmers and donate the total funds pledged for 2012.
Sam Worthington president Interaction, an American NGO insisted before reporters Cannes on how
