    EYE ACCESING CUES

    *

    Why is this useful?

    1. It makes communicating with others more effective, easy and successfully inevery area of your life (business, education, public speaking, personalrelationships, etc.)

    2. Use them to think more effectively: if you cant remember something you canmove your eyes up left if the information forgotten is an image or you can moveyour eyes toward your left ear if the information is a sound. In this form you willremember easily.

    3. now when to shut up!: if you speak while a person is making eye movements, you will interrupt their thinking and this will slow down the interaction.

    4. "ow to know their needs: if you know what kind of person is someone you can

influence their thinking. If he is visual give him images, if he is auditory give himsounds, etc.

    5. #iar detection: eye movements are useful to know if someone is telling the truthor lying. If the person moves the eyes to the right is inventing, building orincreasing something in the discourse.

    6. If you discover what kind of person you are, you can learn better using certainstrategies.

In the margins of your sub'ect note%book, draw sketches or cartoonsthat relate to thatparticular topic or paragraph. hese will not only help you to locate that particular section butwill also make it more memorable.

ay attention to the layoutof your revision notes. &ou might find it useful to use flow-charts(in science, history, *nglish and other sub'ects to keep track of events) or diagrams(inscience, geography, maths and other sub'ects.)

"owever, music at a faster tempo or music with a strong lyric can have a distracting effect.

Record key points on tapeand play them over, especially 'ust before going to sleep.

"aving identified key points from your revision notes, try making these into a rhyme, rap orsong. his will make them more memorable.

    IDEAS for INAEST!ETIC learners

2tarting with your list of Key-words,write each key%word on a sticky%note. &ou could evenadd a little drawing to each note % or a few words of e+planation.

2tick these at strategic pointsaround your room. $or e+ample: by the light switch % left handside of shelf % right hand side of shelf % left%hand cupboard door % right%hand cupboard door %ne+t to picture, etc. 3ow, walkaround the room, pausing in front of each sticky%note in turnand readingthe key%word.

If you do this a few times, you will find it easy to recall what is on each of the sticky%noteswithout actually walking around the room.
