BBienvenida la Navidad, con todo lo que conlleva este “concepto” en nuestro mundo occidental. Esta celebración religiosa o pagana en el más amplio sentido de la palabra, nos llega como una gran ola de sentimientos y consumo. Pero está claro que la Navidad está hecha especialmente para los más pequeños y naturalmente para el disfrute de los mayores, contagiados por el espíritu de los niños. Disfrutemos la Navidad y la llegada de un nuevo año, pues nunca se sabe lo que nos depara el futuro.

En esta edición quiero resaltar la útil información que incluimos, sobre el Programa Navideño y de celebración del Año Nuevo, que podrás consultar, para decidir qué quieres hacer durante estos días festivos y la variedad de precios de las más destacadas celebraciones de Fiestas de Fin de Año.

De entre la gran cantidad de eventos que se celebran en estos meses destacamos una gran variedad de exposiciones, los típicos conciertos de Navidad, Fiestas Infantiles Navideñas, Teatro Infantil de Marionetas, Ciclo de Cine Navideño, Mercadillo, Pista de Patinaje sobre hielo y mucho más.

Let’s welcome Christmas, with all the trimmings related to this

“concept” in the Western world. This religious or pagan celebration,

in the widest sense of the word, comes like a great wave of

sentimentality and consumption. But it is clear that Christmas is

made especially for the children and, of course, for the enjoyment

of adults, for whom the children’s enthusiasm is contagious. Let’s

enjoy Christmas and the arrival of the new year, as we can never

know what the future will bring.

In this edition I would highlight the useful information included on

the Christmas Programme and the New Year celebrations, which

you can consult to help you decide what you want to do over these

holidays and the wide range of prices of the most relevant New Year

parties.

From amongst the variety of events being held over these months,

special mention should be made of the number of exhibitions,

Los Reyes Magos recorrerán las principales calles de San Pe-dro Alcántara en coches de época, a las 17.00 h Visita de S.S.M.M. a la Residencia Aspadem de San Pedro Alcántara, a las 17.30 h SS.MM. llegan en Globo al Boulevard de San Pedro Alcántara, y a las 18.00 h Cabalgata de Reyes por las calles de San Pedro Alcántara. Seguidamente bienveni-da a S.S.M.M. Los Reyes Magos de Oriente en la Plaza de la Iglesia, que saludaran a todos los asistentes desde el balcón de la Tenencia de Alcaldía.

The Three Kings arrive in our town, with the following program-me: at 12:00 p.m. the Three Kings will tour the main streets of San Pedro Alcántara in vintage cars, at 5:00 p.m. they will visit the ASPADEM Residence of San Pedro Alcántara, at 5:30 p.m. they will arrive at the San Pedro Alcántara Boulevard in a hot air balloon, and at 6:00 p.m. there will be the Three Kings Proces-sion through the streets of San Pedro Alcántara. Followed by the welcoming of the Three Kings in the Church Square, where they will greet everyone from the balcony of the Town Hall.

EL CASTILLOTHE CASTLE

Esta construcción se encuentra enclavada en el centro histórico de la ciudad y es la única que se ha conservado de la época musulmana. La medina de Marbella fue una de las ciudades más importantes de la “Rayya” (provincia de Málaga). La Marbella amurallada de los musulmanes abarcaba aproximadamente una superficie de 90.000 metros2. Sobre esta reducida área se extendería una trama de estrechas callejas, que todavía hoy conserva su trazado.

This construction is set in the historic centre of the town and it is the only one conserved from the muslim era. The medina of Marbella was one of the most important cities or the “Rayya” (province of Malaga). The fortified Marbella of the muslims covered approximately a surface of 90.000 square metres. Además de su uso higiénico, eran un punto de reunión social.Villa Romana de Río Verde (Marbella) (s. I). Edificada como finca rústica en la que se desarrollaban actividades agropecuarias, en especial la fabricación del garum, pasta de diversos pescados cuyo precio alcazaba cifras exorbitantes en Roma. Monumento declarado Bien de Interés Cultural por la Junta de Andalucía, y protegido con el máximo nivel en el Patrimonio Histórico Andaluz.

IGLESIA DE LA ENCARNACIÓN“ENCARNACIÓN” CHURCH
