Enhorabuena por la adquisición del Cabezal Multiforraje PTN-1000 G3, producto de la más alta calidad, especialmente desarrollado para satisfacer sus necesidades.

Este manual contiene instrucciones de funcionamiento, mantenimiento y seguridad, que, debidamente observadas, serán la garantía de buen funcionamiento y durabilidad de su Cabezal. Recomendamos su lectura atenta antes de poner en marcha la máquina.

La Nogueira Máquinas Agrícolas estará siempre a su disposición, para responder cualquier consulta, ofreciéndole asistencia técnica eficaz y permanente. En caso de duda al leer este manual y / o al utilizar la máquina, póngase en contacto con nuestro departamento de Post Ventas.

2. Seguridad

El operador de esta máquina debe estar familiarizado con los procedimientos de operación, mantenimiento y la información de SEGURIDAD contenido en este manual. Recomendamos su lectura atenta antes de utilizar la máquina. En él se indican las buenas prácticas de seguridad que deben respetarse durante las etapas de utilización. E-mail: [email protected] que la preservación de la salud y la integridad física de las personas debe venir siempre en primer lugar. Este manual debe mantenerse junto a la máquina, disponible para todos los usuarios.Para una operación segura, observe también las recomendaciones del Manual de su tractor.

En este manual y en los adhesivos colocados en la máquina encontrará el símbolo de alerta de seguridad acompañado de las advertencias "CUIDADO" y "PELIGRO", seguido de instrucciones específicas. Estas instrucciones están destinadas a resguardar su propia seguridad y las demás personas que trabajan o que se encuentran cerca de la máquina. Al ver el SÍMBOLO DE ALERTA DE SEGURIDAD en este manual, lea atentamente y siga estrictamente las instrucciones siguientes.

El Cabezal es una máquina que requiere conocimientos operativos específicos y solo debe ser utilizada por operadores debidamente capacitados. Algunos componentes funcionales como los tambores alimentadores y sus cuchillas deben quedar parcialmente expuestos para la correcta operación de la máquina. Mantenga la distancia de estos componentes durante la operación. Hay riesgo de accidente muy grave en caso de contacto con estos componentes en movimiento. ES PROHIBIDA LA PERMANENCIA DE PERSONAS NO ENTRENADAS SIGUIENTES DE LA MÁQUINA EN FUNCIONAMIENTO.

2.1- Seguridad general

2.2- Seguridad en la preparación

� Elija un plan de terreno para adjuntar el cabezal a la cosechadora. Esto hace que el procedimiento sea más fácil y seguro.

� No permanezca entre la máquina y el cabezal durante el acoplamiento. Hay riesgo de accidente con lesiones por impacto y aplastamiento en el caso de un movimiento involuntario de la máquina o del tractor.

� Después del acoplamiento, asegúrese de que el cabezal esté correctamente enganchado y de que los pernos estén bien apretados.

� Lea el manual de instrucciones antes de conectar la máquina. Manténgase atento y respete todas las recomendaciones de uso y seguridad durante la operación. Repase la información para los demás usuarios y mantenga el Manual en un lugar accesible a todos los usuarios y personal de mantenimiento.

� Los adhesivos pegados en la máquina proporcionan una serie de indicaciones importantes: respetar la señalización es salvaguardar su seguridad. Sustituya etiquetas ilegibles o dañadas inmediatamente.

� Mantenga un kit de primeros auxilios en un lugar de fácil acceso.

� Tenga en cuenta las recomendaciones de seguridad descritas en este manual y manténgase atento. La falta de atención durante la operación puede ocasionar accidentes graves y / o fatales.


2. Seguridad

� Para la operación de esta máquina, así como para toda tarea de mantenimiento o reparación, seguir las instrucciones indicadas en el presente manual. Se debe prestar especial atención a las recomendaciones y advertencias de seguridad, además de cumplir con todas las normativas de higiene y seguridad en el trabajo que estén vigentes y sean aplicables localmente. El personal encargado del uso y del mantenimiento de la máquina debe ser formado y entrenado a cargo del empleador y ser informado sobre los riesgos derivados del uso inapropiado de la máquina y sobre el uso de los equipos de protección individual (EPI).

� Con el fin de facilitar la visualización de componentes internos, ciertas imágenes o ilustraciones en este manual pueden mostrar una protección de seguridad quitada. Sin embargo, la máquina nunca se puede utilizar en esta condición. Antes de conectar la máquina, asegúrese de que se han colocado todas las protecciones de seguridad. Nunca utilice la máquina sin las protecciones de seguridad.

� No opere la máquina si ha ingerido bebidas alcohólicas o medicamentos que alteren el estado de alerta y coordinación. Manténgase atento durante la operación y procure actuar con sentido común. Un momento de desatención mientras opera una máquina puede resultar en un accidente grave.

� Antes de poner la máquina en marcha, compruebe que no hay herramientas u otros objetos sobre la misma. Realice una comprobación en la máquina, observando si no hay tornillos sueltos, piezas gastadas, roturas, escapes o piezas sueltas. Observar los alrededores y mantener a los animales y los espectadores a distancia segura. Tenga especial cuidado con los niños.

� Se prohíbe la permanencia de personas sobre cualquier parte de la máquina durante el funcionamiento o el transporte. Siempre que sea necesario subir en la máquina para realizar limpieza, ajuste o reparación, apague la toma de fuerza del tractor y espere hasta que los componentes estén completamente sin movimiento.

� Este equipo es peligroso para niños y personas que no están familiarizados con su funcionamiento. No permita que se acerquen a la máquina durante el funcionamiento.

� Si observa cualquier anormalidad en el funcionamiento, vibraciones, ruidos diferentes, etc, apague la máquina inmediatamente, compruebe y elimine la causa antes de volver a ponerla en marcha.

� Siempre que sea necesario bajar del tractor, accionar el freno de estacionamiento, apagar el motor y retirar la llave de encendido.

� El operador debe tener suficiente visibilidad de las zonas de trabajo consideradas peligrosas. La máquina no debe quedar sin vigilancia mientras está enganchada en el tractor y con las llaves de ignición insertadas. Apague el tractor y retire la llave de encendido si necesita alejarse de la máquina.

2.4- Seguridad en el mantenimiento

� Las actividades de mantenimiento, inspección, reparación y demás intervenciones en la máquina deben ser realizadas por trabajadores habilitados, calificados, capacitados o autorizados para este fin (ítem 12.135 de la NR 12), conforme a las instrucciones de este manual, consciente de los riesgos involucrados. Por lo tanto, es necesario prever los procedimientos operativos relativos a toda la máquina, adecuados para la administración de las situaciones de peligro que pueden presentarse y los métodos para prevenirlas. Toda intervención debe realizarse con extrema prudencia, prestando la máxima atención y respetando todas las normas de seguridad.

� Apague la toma de fuerza, el motor del tractor y retire la llave de encendido antes de regular, lubricar o realizar cualquier servicio de mantenimiento en la máquina. Nunca realice reparaciones o regulaciones en la máquina conectada.

� Coloque siempre todos los mandos hidráulicos del tractor en el punto muerto antes de apagarlo o de trabajar en el sistema hidráulico.

� Asegúrese de que todos los componentes del sistema se mantienen en buen estado.

� Utilizar equipos de protección individual - EPI (guantes, gafas, protector auricular, calzado y ropa apropiada) al realizar los servicios de mantenimiento.

� Recuerde que los componentes móviles, debido a la inercia, continúan en movimiento durante algún tiempo después de que la máquina se apague. Antes de tocar cualquier parte de la máquina, apague la fuente de accionamiento, mire y escuche si no hay evidencia de movimiento. No toque ningún componente de la máquina si no está absolutamente seguro de que está sin movimiento. ¡Esté siempre atento!

� No apoye la máquina sobre bloques de cemento, ladrillos huecos u otros soportes que puedan desmoronarse bajo el efecto de cargas prolongadas. Cuando sea necesario, utilice siempre un soporte seguro.

� Tenga cuidado con superficies que puedan estar calientes, especialmente las cajas de transmisión que pueden presentar una temperatura elevada durante la operación y los servicios.


2. Seguridad

� El transporte de la máquina acoplada al tractor no debe realizarse en víaspúblicas y carreteras. Esta práctica debe limitarse dentro de las propiedades yzonas rurales. Consulte al órgano de tránsito sobre las reglas y leyes vigentesen su región en cuanto a la posibilidad o no de transportar la máquina conel tractor en ciertos tramos de carreteras.

� Jamás permita la presencia de personas sobre cualquier parte de la máquinadurante el transporte. Nunca utilice la máquina para transportar personaso animales.

� No exceda una velocidad de transporte segura. Reduzca la velocidad y tengacautela en terrenos accidentados y en curvas. Siempre dirija el tractor avelocidades compatibles con las condiciones del terreno o carreteras y portedel tractor utilizado.

� Evite las maniobras bruscas especialmente en lugares accidentados. Alremolcar una carga con peso mayor que el del tractor, no sobrepasar 16Km/hora.

� Reducir la atención al transitar con la máquina enganchada en terrenosinclinados. Si percibe algún desequilibrio, reduzca la aceleración. En lasbajadas mantenga el tractor siempre enganchado.

� Antes de bajar del tractor o de efectuar cualquier operación de mantenimiento,accione el freno de estacionamiento (si está presente), apague el motor yretire la llave de encendido.

� Monte contrapesos suficientes para que los neumáticos delanteros del tractormantengan contacto suficiente con el suelo. El tractor debe estar siempremaniobrable.

� Nunca utilice la máquina por períodos prolongados dentro de recintoscerrados y sin ventilación, el monóxido de carbono expelido por los gasesde escape del tractor es altamente tóxico y nocivo para la salud de personasy animales.

� Nunca beba (bebidas alcohólicas) y conduzca el tractor.

2.5- Seguridad en el transporte

� La seguridad del operador y demás personas es una de las principalespreocupaciones en la concepción y el desarrollo de una máquina. Sinembargo, todos los años se producen muchos accidentes que podrían haberseevitado en general debido a la falta de atención y observación de las reglas deseguridad durante la operación. Lea atentamente este manual y manténgasealerta durante todo el tiempo.

� Nunca opere la máquina bajo el efecto de bebidas alcohólicas, medicamentoso drogas que puedan perjudicar el estado de alerta o la coordinación.

� Utilice equipos de protección individual - EPI - al operar la máquina.

� Vístete apropiadamente para operar la máquina, no use ropa demasiadoancha y sujete el pelo largo. Retire anillos, cadenas y demás elementos quepuedan sujetarse a las piezas o mecanismos en movimiento. Las prendassueltas y los cabellos largos pueden ser atrapados por mecanismos enfuncionamiento.

� Mantenga las manos siempre alejadas de las piezas en movimiento.

� Nunca intente limpiar ni borrar ninguna parte de la máquina mientras estéen funcionamiento. Este procedimiento sólo se puede realizar con la tomade fuerza apagada, la llave retirada de la ignición del tractor y la máquinasin ningún movimiento.

� Tenga cuidado con superficies que puedan estar calientes, especialmente lascajas de transmisión que pueden presentar una temperatura elevada durantela operación y los servicios.

� Mantenga distancia segura y nunca se acerque a los tambores alimentadorescon la máquina funcionando. En contacto con los tambores en funcionamiento,usted podrá ser tirado dentro de la máquina y sufrir un accidente con riesgode lesiones graves y muerte. Antes de acercarse a los rodillos y los tamboresalimentadores, desconecte la toma de fuerza del tractor, retire la llave de lasalida y espere hasta que los tambores paren totalmente de girar.

CALLEJÓN

Utilizar una ensiladora siempre que sea necesario alimentar con las manos.

ANCHO MÍNIMA DEL CALLEJÓN: 2,50 metros (esta medida puede variar de acuerdo con la anchura del tractor y los neumáticos utilizados).

Recordamos que esta cosechadora no ha sido desarrollada y no es apropiada para ser alimentada manualmente, pues este procedimiento expone a las personas involucradas en el riesgo de un grave accidente. Cuando haya necesidad de apertura manual de carrete, cosecha de cultivo acostada, etc., utilice una de las ensiladoras de la línea estacionaria de Nogueira, como por ejemplo la EN-6800.

¡ES PROHIBIDO ALIMENTAR MANUALMENTE LA COSECHADORA !

Es de exclusiva responsabilidad del productor (cliente) la planificación de la plantación para que sea respetado el espaciamiento correcto para la cosecha.La Nogueira Máquinas no se responsabiliza por el uso inadecuado del equipo. La cosechadora sólo se utilizará de la forma descrita en este manual, cualquier otro procedimiento debe evitarse.

Es muy importante planificar por adelantado a los callejones, dejando las aberturas necesarias para la entrada del conjunto cosechadora y tractor.

TIPOS DE EPI

Gafas de Seguridad: Protección para los ojos contra lesiones procedentes del impacto de partículas y radiaciones luminosas intensas.

Uso obligatorio en todas las fases de utilización de la máquina.

Protector Auditivo: Protección para niveles de ruido perjudiciales para la salud. La exposición prolongada al ruido puede causar daño o pérdida de la audición.

Uso obligatorio durante la operac ión de lamáquina.

Respiradores: Protección para actividades con productos químicos, tales como abono, polvo incomodas, etc.

Uso obl igator io en presenc ia de polvo incomodas.

Guantes:Protección para las actividades de enganchar o desenganchar el equipo, así como en el manejo de objetos excoriantes, ab r a s i vo s , co r t an t e s o punzantes.

Uso obligatorio durante e l a cop l am ien to y desacoplamiento a l tractor, mantenimiento y manejo de partes cortantes (cuchil las, contracuchillas, etc.).

Botas:Con puntera reforzada para trabajos en los que haya peligro de caída de materiales y objetos pesados.

Uso obligatorio durante el mantenimiento de la máquina.

Equipo de Protección Individual (EPI) es todo dispositivo de uso individual destinado a proteger la salud y la integridad física del trabajador con el fin de minimizar los riesgos del ambiente de trabajo y promover la salud, el bienestar y evitar los accidentes y enfermedades ocupacionales , conforme a la Norma Reguladora nº 06 (NR-06) del Ministerio de Trabajo y Empleo (MTE).De acuerdo con la necesidad de cada actividad, es obligatorio el uso de EPI durante las fases de utilización de esta máquina.

2.8- Uso de EPI


2.9- Adhesivos de seguridad

No abra ni retire las cubiertas y las protecciones de seguridad mientras la máquina esté funcionando.Mantenga sus manos alejadas de la cadena y otras partes móviles que puedan engancharse, causando lesiones personales.

Mantenga la distancia y no permita que haya personas cerca del tambor de alimentación mientras la máquina está encendida. Prohibido alimentar manualmente la máquina.

Significado de los adhesivos de seguridad:

Los adhesivos de seguridad fijados en la máquina advierte sobre riesgos residuales y advierte para procedimientos a ser adoptados durante las fases de utilización de la misma. � Mantener todos los adhesivos de seguridad visibles y en perfecto estado de conservación;

� Sustituir inmediatamente adhesivos dañados o ilegibles; � En los casos de cambio de piezas que contienen adhesivos de seguridad, es obligatoria la reposición de los adhesivos;

� Para la compra de nuevos adhesivos de seguridad contacte a su distribuidor.

En el desarrollo del proyecto, se han adoptado protecciones fijas de seguridad en las zonas de operación que presentan peligro. Todas las protecciones están completamente blindadas para impedir el acceso a los puntos que ofrecen riesgo. Esta medida tiene por objeto garantizar la protección a operadores y demás personas involucradas con la operación de esta máquina. ¡Nunca utilice la máquina sin las protecciones de seguridad! Reemplace las protecciones de seguridad dañadas inmediatamente.

De acuerdo con la Norma Reguladora NR-12, se considera "protección fija" el elemento específicamente utilizado para proveer seguridad por medio de barrera física. Debe mantenerse en su posición de manera permanente o por medio de elementos de fijación que sólo permitan su remoción o apertura con el uso de herramientas.

2.10- Medidas de seguridad adoptadas en el proyecto

A - Cubierta del cabezal:Protecc ión desar ro l lada para impedir el contacto con la cadena y demás componentes rotativos de la transmisión (ejes, ruedas, engranajes, etc.) durante el funcionamiento de la máquina.

Riesgo de eliminación de la cubierta: El contacto con la cadena y/o ruedas dentadas, engranajes, etc, con la máquina conectada, puede ocasionar lesiones graves como fracturas, torsión, etc.

2.11- Riesgos existentes y acciones necesarias

Nunca intente limpiar o retirar los restos de material de la máquina funcionando. Cualquier contacto con los tambores girando y usted podrá ser tirado dentro de la máquina. Riesgo de accidente grave con amputación de miembros y/o muerte.

CÓMO ELIMINAR EL RIESGO: Nunca intente limpiar o realizar ningún servicio de mantenimiento o ajustes en la máquina conectada. Desconecte el tractor, retire la llave de arranque y espere hasta que la máquina esté sin ningún movimiento antes de limpiar, regular o realizar cualquier servicio en la cosechadora.

Nunca alimente la máquina con las manos. Los tambores tiran del material antes de que pueda soltarlo de las manos y usted podrá ser tirado dentro de la máquina. Riesgo de accidente grave con amputación de miembros y/o muerte.

CÓMO ELIMINAR EL RIESGO: Está prohibido alimentar esta máquina manualmente, no es apropiada para ello. Siempre que sea necesario, utilice una ensiladora equipada con tolva de alimentación propia para ese propósito.

Incluso con el uso de recursos apropiados y protecciones de seguridad incorporadas, algunos riesgos residuales permanecen durante el uso de esta máquina. Esto ocurre debido a algunos componentes funcionales como los tambores alimentadores y los cuchillos de los tambores necesitan quedar parcialmente expuestos para la correcta operación de la máquina. A continuación enumeramos los riesgos existentes en la utilización de esta máquina y las medidas que deben ser adoptadas por los usuarios.

Nunca subirse a la máquina en funcionamiento. Riesgo de caída con lesiones en la columna, cabeza y miembros. Riesgo de muerte si la caída ocurre en el área de alimentación (rollos).

CÓMO ELIMINAR EL RIESGO: Nunca suba a la máquina funcionando, ya sea en el transporte o durante la operación.Detenga el motor del tractor, quite la llave de arranque y espere hasta que la máquina esté sin ningún movimiento antes de acercarse o subir en cualquier parte de la cosechadora.

Nunca acerque las piernas o los pies de los tambores alimentadores con la máquina conectada. El contacto con las cuchillas de los tambores en movimiento causará lesiones muy graves. Riesgo de decepción de las partes en contacto con las cuchillas.

CÓMO ELIMINAR EL RIESGO: Nunca se acerque al área de alimentación de la máquina (tambores y cuchillas) conectada. Manténgase lejos y a distancia segura.¡Cuidado! Las cuchillas, cuando están girando, son casi imperceptibles. Nunca se acerque o intente tocar la máquina si no está seguro de que todos los componentes están completamente parados. ¡Recuerde! 3. Presentación

Este cabezal está diseñado y construido para trabajar en conjunto con una cosechadora New Pecus, formando un conjunto compacto capaz de cosechar y podar varios cultivos forrajeros como maíz, sorgo, caña, pasto, avena, etc., independientemente de Línea de siembra y dirección de recolección, en cultivos convencionales o intercultivos, produciendo forraje para ensilado y tratamiento diario de animales. Es un equipo muy versátil, que permite al productor transformar una cosechadora de una sola línea en una cosechadora multiforraje.

La PTN-1000 G3 es un cabezal multiforraje que se puede acoplar a la cosechadora New PECUS, formando un conjunto para cosecha de forrajes sembradas en línea, al voleo, consorciadas y en cualquier dirección, incrementando substancialmente la productividad. Tiene dos tambores alimentadores con cuchillas individuales que simultáneamente cosechan y recolectan plantas en cualquier dirección. Las plantas cosechadas se envían al sistema de alimentación y procesamiento de la cosechadora, donde se trituran con precisión y uniformidad.

Esta máquina está diseñada exclusivamente para uso en operaciones agrícolas o similares y debe utilizarse únicamente para los fines diseñados según lasespecificaciones contenidas en el manual. El cabezal incorporado en una cosechadora de forraje NEW PECUS se posiciona en el área de cosecha y, a medida que avanza, las plantas son cosechadas simultáneamente por los cuchillos y recolectadas por los tambores de alimentación. 4. Preparación

Para descargar o mover la máquina empacada, se debe utilizar siempre una carretilla elevadora. No hilar la máquina empaquetada utilizando el cabrestante, la grúa, etc.

La máquina se empaqueta cuando está destinada a la exportación.

• Manténgase a la distancia segura alencender la máquina.

• No permitir la presencia de personascercanas durante el levantamiento.Recuerde que es posible un movimientolateral, intencional o no, de la máquinacuando está suspendida.

• Nunca permanecer debajo de unamáquina suspendida.

• Izar la máquina sólo por los puntosapropiados indicados en las figurasal lado. La utilización de puntos deelevación no indicados puede provocaraverías en la máquina y causar unaccidente grave.

Para elevar la máquina desembalada, se debe utilizar un cabrestante con capacidad apropiada al peso de la misma. En ese caso, levante la máquina siempre por los dos puntos indicados en la figura al lado.

4. Preparación

Para el acoplamiento del cabezal en NEW PECUS (primera generación), debe actualizar la cosechadora a la generación 2. En este caso, debe comprar el el kit de actualización G1 para G2. Esta actualización es necesaria para el acoplamiento perfecto del cabezal a la máquina.

4.2- Preparación de la cosechadora.

4.2.1- Quitar los alineadores

Las piezas necesarias para acoplar el cabezal en la cosechadora se suministran con el cabezal. El procedimiento es el mismo para las cosechadoras con polea y correa o caja y cardan.

4. Preparación

Con el cabezal se proporciona un kit que contiene 6 aletas estrechas (todas iguales) y 6 aletas anchas (3 para el rodillo derecho y 3 para el rodillo izquierdo). Estas aletas deben montarse en los rodillos de su cosechadora. La función de las aletas es mantener los rollos limpios cortando las vides y otros cultivos que eventualmente enrollan los rodillos, lo que dificulta su recogida. Las aletas anchas también ayudan a recoger el material cosechado. Tenga en cuenta que las cuchillas anchas son diferentes, 3 para el rodillo derecho y 3 para el rodillo izquierdo (el corte está invertido). Las aletas estrechas son todas iguales.

En general, el uso de las aletas sigue la siguiente recomendación:

� Coloque 1 aleta ancha y 2 aletas estrechas en cada rodillo de la máquina.

Esta disposición está indicada para la mayoría de los productos y condiciones de cosecha. Sin embargo, bajo ciertas condiciones, el uso de una disposición diferente puede producir un mejor resultado. Si es necesario, puedes cambiar las aletas, observando lo siguiente:

� Productos con tallos rígidos (gruesos) y gruesos: Se pueden utilizar sólo las aletas estrechas en los dos rodillos alimentadores. Son 3 aletas estrechas en cada rodillo.

� Productos con tallos tiernos (blandos) y finos: Se pueden utilizar solamente las aletas anchas en los dos rodillos alimentadores. Son 3 aletas anchas en cada rodillo.

Esta es la confección estándar utilizada en la mayoría de los productos. Se deben colocar dos aletas estrechas y una aleta en cada rollo de la máquina.

Monte las aletas como se muestra en la siguiente figura. El montaje en las posiciones correctas garantiza el mejor rendimiento de su cabezal.

Generalmente, los alineados y el deflector central (figura en el costado) se retiran de la fábrica desmontados del Cabezal. El ensamblaje es simple, simplemente fíjelos con los tornillos, arandelas y tuercas provistos con el Cabezal.

1. Fije los 2 alineadores con los tornillos (A) y las arandelas (B) (figura en el lateral).

Observe que el tumbador (C) posee varios agujeros que posibilitan su montaje en diferentes posiciones. Ajuste en la posición que mejor se adapte al producto. Recuerde que, cuanto más alta sea la planta más avanzada debe colocarse el tomador y viceversa.

4.7- Montaje de la transmisión

El cabezal ofrece 5 ruedas dentadas diferentes (11, 16, 20, 25 y 30 dientes). Las diferentes combinaciones de estas ruedas proporcionan diferentes velocidades de avance del tambor. Se recomienda comenzar a cosechar con las ruedas 16 dientes en la máquina y 25 dientes en el cabezal. En esta configuración, los tambores giran a la velocidad que mejor se adapta a la mayoría de las condiciones de cosecha. Si es necesario, pruebe otras combinaciones de ruedas indicadas en el ítem "VELOCIDAD DEL TAMBOR". Le recordamos que la velocidad ideal depende de varios factores, tales como: tipo, tamaño y densidad del producto a cosechar, condiciones de cosecha, etc.

4. Montar los dos engranajes (F).

Con la utilización de diferentes combinaciones de ruedas dentadas (A) y (B), se obtienen diferentes velocidades de los tambores. Se recomienda comenzar la cosecha utilizando las ruedas A=16 dientes y B=25 dientes. En esta configuración, los tambores giran a la velocidad que mejor se adapte a la mayoria de las condiciones de cosecha.Le recordamos que la velocidad ideal depende de varios factores, tales como: tipo, tamaño y densidad del producto a cosechar, condiciones de cosecha, etc. Si es necesario, pruebe las diferentes velocidades de los tambores para encontrar la que mejor se adapte al producto que se cosecha.

Para cambiar la velocidad de los tambores:

1. Primero, verifique en qué tamaño de corte está establecida la máquina (vea cuál es el par de engranajes de cambio de corte (E) que se están utilizando en la máquina);

2. Busque en las páginas siguientes la tabla correspondiente al par de engranajes de corte montado en la máquina;

4. Preparación

4.10- Transporte

Siempre que sea necesario transportar la máquina a largas distancias o utilizando vías públicas, el transporte se realizará por camión, carreta u otro vehículo similar.

La máquina debe estar completamente en el interior de la carrocería del vehículo utilizado para el transporte. Utilice cables, amarras, cuerdas, etc., en cantidad suficiente para inmovilizar y mantener la carga estable sobre el camión o carreta.Compruebe las condiciones de la carga (cables flojos, calzos y otros) periódicamente durante el viaje. Siga siempre la legislación de tránsito vigente.Esté atento con relación a la altura total de la carga, principalmente bajo red eléctrica, viaductos y otros.

5. Operación

Los trabajos con la máquina deben ser realizados únicamente por profesionales habilitados, calificados, capacitados o autorizados para este fin. El uso sin el conocimiento necesario puede resultar en un funcionamiento incorrecto con riesgo de accidentes graves.La atención al utilizar la máquina garantiza la seguridad a usted y a otras personas. 5.- OPERACIÓN

Al inicio de cada jornada de trabajo con la máquina, el operador debe efectuar inspecciones de las condiciones de operabilidad y seguridad y, si se constatan anormalidades que afectan la seguridad, las actividades deben ser interrumpidas hasta que las correcciones sean implementadas.Antes de la utilización de la máquina, el área más cercana debe controlarse y liberarse. Mantenga a distancia de la máquina personas no necesarias para el funcionamiento. Puede existir riesgo de daños personales graves cuando las personas no autorizadas permanecen cerca de la máquina en funcionamiento.

5. Operación

La velocidad de marcha del tractor debe ser adecuada a las condiciones de recolección y características del producto a cosechar. Se recomienda realizar pruebas prácticas con diferentes velocidades de tractor y observar la que mejor se adapte a las condiciones locales.

5.1- Velocidad de desplazamiento del tractor

La recolecc ión de especies de gramíneas forrajeras como Brachiaria, Avena, Azevém, etc., debido a sus características, requiere una mayor velocidad de movimiento del tractor para mantener un volumen y flujo adecuados en la alimentación de la máquina. En estas condiciones, se obtiene un mejor resultado de cosecha con una velocidad mínima de 6 km / h.

¡PELIGRO!Asegúrese de que el motor del tractor está apagado y la llave se ha quitado de la salida antes de despegar la máquina. Nunca se acerque a los tambores alimentadores sin estar seguros de que el tractor está apagado y la máquina sin ningún movimiento.

5.2- Desobstrucción (desembrague)

En caso de obstrucción (embuchado) de la máquina, se debe desconectar la toma de fuerza y el motor del tractor inmediatamente.

6. Mantenimiento

Descargue la máquina al suelo, apague el motor del tractor, tire del freno de estacionamiento, retire la llave de encendido y espere hasta que todas las piezas móviles estén completamente paradas antes de realizar mantenimiento, ajustes o reparaciones en la máquina.

El mantenimiento periódico, realizado de forma adecuada, es la manera más eficaz de garantizar máxima eficiencia y durabilidad para su máquina.

6.- MANTENIMIENTO

Conforme a la Norma Reguladora NR-12, las intervenciones en la máquina deben ser realizadas por profesionales habilitados, calificados, capacitados o autorizados para este fin.

LEMBRE: El uso de piezas o accesorios no originales de fábrica puede dañar el equipo, perjudicar su funcionamiento y provocar accidentes, además de implicar la pérdida de la garantía ofrecida. Es obligatorio el uso de EPI (Equipos de Protección Individual) al realizar servicios de mantenimiento, ajustes o reparaciones en la máquina.

6. Mantenimiento

6.1- Recomendaciones generales

� Nunca funcione la máquina por períodos prolongados dentro de recintos cerrados y sin ventilación, el monóxido de carbono expelido por los gases de escape del tractor es altamente tóxico.

� Mantenga el área de mantenimiento limpia. Pisos mojados o aceitosos son resbaladizos y peligrosos.

� Siempre estacione la máquina en un lugar plano.

� Utilice herramientas en buenas condiciones al realizar cualquier servicio en la máquina.

� Al sustituir los tornillos y las tuercas, utilice la misma especificación de los originales. Utilice siempre el par adecuado, tal como se especifica en la tabla de torsión de este manual.

� Antes de iniciar una reparación hidráulica, alivie la presión en el sistema.

� Apriete periódicamente todas las tuercas y tornillos de fijación.

� Al completar un procedimiento de mantenimiento, asegúrese de que todas las protecciones de seguridad estén instaladas antes de poner en marcha la máquina.

� Es obligatorio el uso de equipos de protección individual (EPI) durante los servicios de mantenimiento en la máquina.

� Después de las primeras 50 horas continuas de trabajo, es fundamental volver a colocar todos los tornillos de fijación existentes en la máquina.

¡CUIDADO!

Nunca permanezca debajo de un equipo levantado por sistema hidráulico sin utilizar apoyos adecuados. Una eventual falla en el sistema hidráulico y el equipo caerá, pudiendo provocar un grave accidente. Uti l ice apoyos adecuados al peso levantado.

6. Mantenimiento

En cada tambor alimentador se montan 6 cuchillas reversibles. Las buenas condiciones de estas cuchillas garantizan un mejor rendimiento del Cabezal. Haga la verificación periódica, reemplazando las cuchillas desgastados o dañados.

¡ATENCIÓN! Apague el motor del tractor y retire la llave de arranque antes de comenzar el procedimiento siguiente.

1. Retire los 2 tornillos (A), arandelas y tuercas que fijan la cuchilla que se va a sustituir;

2. Sustituya la cuchilla (B) por otra nueva, fijándola con los 2 tornillos, arandelas y tuercas (A);

3. Repita el procedimiento en todas las cuchillas gastadas o dañadas.

Las cuchillas son reversibles. Cuando uno de los lados está desgastado, invierte de tambor, utilizando así su otro lado. Reemplace inmediatamente las cuchillas con los dos lados desgastados o dañados.

6.3- Cuchillas de los tambores alimentadores

6.3.1- Cómo invertir o cambiar las cuchillas de los tambores

Inv ierta las cuchi l las de tambor al observar desgaste acentuado.


6. Mantenimiento

Los tambores alimentadores están equipados con 2 limpiadores cada uno. La función de estos limpiadores es impedir la acumulación de material debajo de los tambores. Observe con frecuencia si los limpiadores están en buen estado.

6.4- Limpiadores

¡ATENCIÓN! Apague el motor del tractor y retire la llave de arranque antes de comenzar el procedimiento siguiente.

Los limpiadores son reversibles. Cuando uno de los lados está desgastado, invertirlos de tambor, utilizando así su otro lado. Sustituir inmediatamente limpiadores con los dos lados desgastados o dañados.

Para cambiar los limpiadores (K):1. Retire el tornillo (N) utilizando una llave

el tornillo (N).

La holgura incorrecta de la cadena causa ruido, desgaste prematuro y puede dañarla.Compruebe el juego de las cadenas cada 50 horas de trabajo o semanalmente y ajuste siempre que sea necesario.

Regulación de la holgura de la cadena de transmisión:

El ajuste se realiza a través de la rueda (A):1. Suelte el tornillo (B).2. Empuje la rueda (A) contra la cadena,

hasta que quede la holgura.3. A continuación, vuelva a apretar el tornillo

(B).

6.5- Ajuste de la cadena

Después de la regulación, recuerde volver a colocar el tornillo (B), de lo contrario, el tensor se soltar y la cadena se dañará.

La lubricación adecuada y regular es indispensable para garantizar el buen rendimiento y la durabilidad de la máquina. Los intervalos indicados tienen en cuenta su utilización en condiciones normales de trabajo. En condiciones severas, los intervalos deben ser reducidos. Se recomiendan inspecciones periódicas y la utilización de lubricantes limpios y de calidad. Aceites y grasas lubricantes contienen aditivos que, en algunas situaciones, pueden ser nocivos para la salud. Al utilizar lubricantes, es importante:

6.6.1- Lubricación de la cadena (D)

6.6.2- Lubricación de rodamientos de los tambores

La lubricación adecuada prolonga la vida útil, evita la oxidación y el desgaste prematuro de las cadenas. Aplique una ligera capa de aceite especial para cadenas, como el MAXLUB ND-03 Bardahl.Si está disponible, utilice lubricante especial para cadenas (grasa en spray), ya que proporciona una lubricación más eficiente entre los pines y los rodillos de las cadenas.NOTA: No utilice grasa común en la cadena, pues la misma no penetra en los eslabones y pernos.Período de lubricación: Se recomienda la lubricación cada 40 horas de trabajo, al final del día, mientras que las cadenas todavía están calientes de operación.Siempreque sea necesario, lávese con queroseno o diesel utilizando un pincel.

Caja de Transmisión

6.6.3- Lubricación de la caja de transmisión de los tambores

Los engranajes de la caja de transmisión de los tambores se lubrican con grasa a base de jabón de litio, clasificación NLGI 00 (Ejemplo: LUBRAX LITH-00).

La lubricación se recomienda cuando el mantenimiento de la caja o al final de cada cosecha. Es recomendable quitar toda la grasa antigua y colocar grasa nueva, en la especificación arriba indicada.

Capacidad de grasa de la caja: 3 kg.

Para completar la grasa, se puede quitar el tapón de ventilación (A) y lubricar a través del agujero.

6.7- Conservación

6.7.1- Limpieza diaria

Tan importante como el mantenimiento preventivo es la conservación diaria de la máquina. Este cuidado consiste básicamente en la limpieza y protección contra la intemperie y los efectos corrosivos de algunos productos.Siga las siguientes recomendaciones para asegurar una larga vida útil de su equipo.

6.7.2- Revisión anual

� Retire todos los residuos de producto que permanecieron en la máquina.

� Haga un lavado completo. Seque el agua eventualmente acumulada en las protecciones de la máquina.

� Los componentes hidráulicos sólo deben limpiarse con chorros de agua de baja presión para no dañar los sellos.

Se recomienda realizar, preferentemente al final de cada campaña, una revisión general de la máquina en su Revendedor o en la Asistencia Técnica de la fábrica. � Haga un lavado riguroso y completo en la máquina. � Seque el agua eventualmente acumulada en las protecciones de la máquina. � Retoque la pintura en las partes donde sea necesario. � Sustituya las piezas desgastadas o dañadas. � Haga una aplicación de aceite anticorrosivo en las partes metálicas de la máquina.

� Lubrique adecuadamente. � La atención durante el trabajo de limpieza garantiza la seguridad a todos los involucrados. La falta de atención puede resultar en daños personales.

� Utilice ropa de seguridad, guantes y gafas de seguridad durante la limpieza. Proteja el cuerpo y la cara contra salpicaduras de suciedad y restos de aceite. La protección insuficiente del cuerpo y la cara puede originar daños graves a la piel ya los ojos.

� Los productos de limpieza con Ph neutro ofrecen la protección óptima de la máquina. Los productos con Ph muy bajo o muy elevado pueden ser corrosivos cuando se utilizan en superficies de plástico o goma.

tractor. Asegúrese de que el tractor no pueda moverse durante la limpieza. Si es necesario, calze las ruedas.

• Limpieza y reparaciones deben realizarse solamente con el motor del tractor apagado, los componentes totalmente sin movimiento y la llave de encendido removida del tractor.

• Sólo toque la máquina si está seguro de que no hay movimiento.

• Existe riesgo de accidente grave al contacto con partes de la máquina en movimiento.

6.7.3- Almacenamiento

6.7.4- Retorno al trabajo

En el período en que la máquina se quede sin usar, antes de guardarla, se recomienda realizar la revisión general indicada en el ítem anterior.

Después de la revisión: � Afloje completamente las correas y cadenas de transmisión (en los modelos donde haya).

� Quite las ruedas. Esto aumentará la vida útil de los neumáticos (en los modelos equipados con rueda).

� Guarde la máquina en un lugar seco y protegido del sol y de las lluvias. � Coloque la máquina en un lugar donde los niños no tengan acceso. Restringir el acceso a las partes de la máquina que puedan moverse manualmente.

Antes de volver a utilizar la máquina, después de un período guardado, se debe: � Reapertar tuercas y tornillos en general; � Lubricar los puntos indicados en este manual; � Revise los ajustes de funcionamiento descritos en este manual.

7. Desactivación

Esta máquina ha sido desarrollada para ofrecer una larga vida útil, necesitando para que las recomendaciones de este manual sean observadas y seguidas. Al final de la vida útil, será necesario promover el descarte de la máquina, dando el destino adecuado a las partes que la componen.Es fundamental la utilización de Equipos de Protección Individual (guantes y gafas de seguridad) durante la manipulación de piezas metálicas y lubricantes.

P i e z a s m e t á l i c a s (chapas, tubos, barras, hierro fundido, etc)

Deben destinarse al reciclado. Las chatarras de materiales ferrosos se venden a las siderúrgicas y fundiciones que las utilizan como materia prima para la producción de acero. Recordamos que en el proceso de reciclado de los metales hay considerable reducción en el uso de energía y agua, en la emisión de contaminantes atmosféricos y en la contaminación de las aguas, lo que contribuye a la preservación del medio ambiente.

Aceites, grasas, etc. Deben ser removidos de la máquina y destinados al reciclaje. Se sabe que los aceites usados son residuos peligrosos y tienen que ser correctamente manipulados, almacenados y destinados para que la salud de los trabajadores directamente ligados a su manipulación y la salud de la población no sufran daños. No deben desecharse sobre el suelo ni en cursos de agua para evitar la contaminación ambiental El aceite lubricante utilizado o contaminado es un residuo peligroso. No lo utilice para ningún fin. Piezas plásticas (tubo de salida, carenado, etc.)

Deben destinarse al reciclado. El reciclaje del plástico es de extrema importancia para el medio ambiente. Cuando reciclamos el plástico estamos contribuyendo con el medio ambiente, pues este material deja de ir a los rellenos sanitarios o para la naturaleza, contaminando ríos, lagos, suelo y bosques.

Neumáticos Deben destinarse al reciclado. Infórmese sobre formas de recolección de neumáticos para reciclaje en su ciudad o busque el distribuidor de neumáticos más cercano. Él le recibirá y lo destinará adecuadamente. El descarte inadecuado de neumáticos es un enorme problema ambiental. In this manual and on the stickers affixed to the machine you will find the 'safety alert symbol' accompanied by the 'CAUTION' and 'DANGER' warnings, followed by specific instructions. These instructions are intended to protect your own safety and the safety of others who work or are near the machine. When viewing the SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL in this manual, carefully read and follow the instructions below.

The Head is a machine that requires specific operational know-how and should only be used by properly trained operators. Some functional components such as drums and knives need to be partially exposed for proper machine operation. Keep people and animals at a safe distance from these components during operation. There is a risk of a very serious accident in case of contact with these moving parts. IT IS PROHIBITED FOR UNTRAINED PEOPLE TO STAND NEAR THE MACHINE WHEN IT IS IN OPERATION.

2.1- General safety

2.2- Safety in the preparation

� Choose a flat location for coupling the Head to the Harvester. This makes theprocedure easier and safer.

� Do not stand between machine and the Head during the coupling. Thereis a risk of accident with impact injuries and crushing in the event of aninvoluntary movement.

� After coupling, make sure the Head is properly engaged and the screwsproperly tightened.

� Read the Instructions Manual before turningthe machine on. Be aware of and observeall recommendations for use and safetyduring operation. Pass the information to theother users and keep the Manual in a placeaccessible to all users and maintenance staff.

� The stickers found on the machine providea series of important indications: respectingthe signals is a way to safeguard your ownsafety. Replace illegible or damaged stickersimmediately.

� Keep a first aid kit in an easily accessible place.

� Observe and pay attention to all safetyrecommendations in this manual. Lack ofattention during the operation might resultin a serious accident.


2. Safety

� In order to operate this machine, and in addition to performing any maintenance or repair, the following instructions in this manual must be followed. Special attention must be paid to all recommendations and safety warnings, besides the fulfilment of all hygiene and work safety norms that are currently applicable. People who are in charge of using and performing maintenance in the machine must be trained for such, and must be informed about the risks involved when the machine is used inappropriately, as well as the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

� In order to facilitate the visualization of internal components, certain images or illustrations in this manual may show a security protection removed. However, the machine can never be used in this condition. Before starting the machine, check that all safety guards have been fitted. Never operate the machine without the safety guards.

� Never operate the machine in case you have ingested alcoholic beverages or taken medicine, which might change your state of alert and coordination. Keep alert and focused during the operation and always act with good sense. A moment of inattention might result in a serious accident.

� Before turning on the machine, make sure there are no tools or other objects on it. Perform a check on the machine, noting that there are no loose bolts, worn parts, cracks, leaks, or loose parts. Observe the surroundings and keep animals and spectators at a safe distance. Take special care of children.

� It is forbidden to stand on the machine when it is working or being used for transportation. Whenever it is necessary to climb on the machine for cleaning, to perform any adjustments or repair, turn off the tractor PTO and wait until all the components are completely stationary.

� This equipment is dangerous for children and persons not familiar with its operation. Do not allow them to approach the machine during operation.

� If you notice any abnormalities in operation, vibrations, different noises, etc., turn off the machine immediately, check and eliminate the cause before turning it on again.

� Whenever it is necessary to get off the tractor, engage the parking brake, turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.

� The operator must have sufficient visibility of work areas considered to be hazardous. The machine must not be left unattended while it is engaged with the tractor and with the ignition keys inserted. Turn off the tractor and remove the ignition key if you need to move away from the machine.

2.4- Safety in maintenance

� Maintenance, inspection, repair and other operations on the machine mustbe carried out by trained, qualified or authorized workers for this purpose(item 12.135 of NR 12), according to the instructions in this manual, awareof the risks involved. It is therefore necessary to envisage the machine-wideoperating procedures appropriate to the management of dangerous situationsthat may arise and methods for preventing them. All interventions must becarried out with extreme caution, paying the utmost attention and respectingall safety standards.

� Disconnect the power take-off, tractor engine, and remove the ignition keybefore adjusting, lubricating, or servicing the machine. Never perform repairsor adjustments on the connected machine.

� Always place all tractor hydraulic controls in the neutral position beforeturning it off or working on the hydraulic system.

� Make sure that all system components are kept in good condition.

� Wear personal protective equipment - PPE (protective gloves, safety goggles,ear plugs, safety boots and proper clothes) when servicing.

� Keep in mind that moving parts, due to inertia, remain in motion for sometime after the machine is switched off. Before touching any part of themachine, turn off the power source, look and listen if there is no evidenceof movement. Do not touch any component of the machine unless you areabsolutely certain that it is not moving at all. Always be attentive!

� Do not place the machine on concrete blocks, hollow bricks or other supportsthat may collapse under prolonged loads. When necessary, always use a safesupport.

� Be careful of surfaces that may be hot, especially the gearboxes that may bethe temperature elevated during operation and service.


2. Safety

� Transportation of the machine while it is coupled to the tractor must not be done on public roads and highway. This practice should be limited to properties and rural areas. Check the Department of Transportation on the rules and applicable laws in your region, as well as the existing possibility of transporting the machine with the tractor on certain parts of roads.

� Never allow people to be present on any part of the machine during transport. Never use the machine to carry people or animals.

� Do not exceed a safe transport speed. Slow down and be cautious on rough terrain and on bends. Always drive the tractor at speeds compatible with the terrain or road conditions and size of the tractor used.

� Avoid sudden maneuvers especially in rough places. When towing a load with a weight greater than that of the tractor, do not exceed 16 km/hour.

� Pay special attention when moving with the machine engaged in sloping terrain. If you notice an imbalance, reduce the acceleration. When descending, keep the tractor always engaged.

� Before lowering the tractor or performing any maintenance operations, engage the parking brake (if present), turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.

� Mount sufficient weights so that the tractor's front tires maintain sufficient contact with the ground. The tractor must always be maneuverable.

� Never operate the machine for extended periods indoors and without ventilation, the carbon monoxide expelled by the exhaust fumes from the tractor is highly toxic and harmful to the health of people and animals.

� Never drink alcohol and drive the tractor.

2. Safety

� The safety of the operator and others is a major concern in the design anddevelopment of a machine. However, many accidents occur every year thatcould have been avoided in general due to lack of attention and observationof safety rules during the operation. Please read this manual carefully andbe alert at all times.

� Never operate the machine under the influence of alcoholic beverages, drugsor drugs that may impair alertness or coordination.

� Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating the machine.

� Dress appropriately to operate the machine, do not wear clothes that are toowide and hold long hair. Remove rings, necklaces and other elements thatmay be attached to moving parts or mechanisms. Wide clothes and long haircan be picked up by functioning mechanisms.

� Keep hands away from moving parts.

� Never attempt to clean or unclog any part of the machine while it is turnedon. This procedure can only be carried out with the power take-off switchedoff, key removed from the ignition of the tractor and the machine withoutany movement.

� Be careful of surfaces that may be hot, especially the gearboxes that may bethe temperature elevated during operation and service.

� Keep safe distance and never approach the drums while the machine is turnedon. Any contact with moving drums and you can be pulled into the machineand you may be in an accident with risk of serious injury and death. Beforeapproaching the feeding drums and drums, turn off the power take-off ofthe tractor, remove the key from the ignition and wait until the drums stopmoving completely.

CLEARANCE

Use a chopper whenever it is necessary to manually feed.

CLEARANCE MINIMUM WIDTH: 2.50 meters (this measure may vary according to tractor width and tires used).

We remind you that the harvester has not been developed and it is not appropriate to be manually fed, since this procedure exposes high accident risks to people who are involved. Whenever there is the need of manual opening of the clearance, harvest laying down crop etc., use one of Nogueira Static Line choppers, such as EN-6800.

IT IS FORBIDDEN TO MANUALLY FEED THE HARVESTER.

It is the producer (customer) sole responsibility to plan the planting, so that the right spacing for the harvest is respected.Nogueira Máquinas wil l not be held responsible for the inadequate use of its equipment. The harvester must be used only with accordance with this Manual, any other procedure must be avoided.

It is very important to plan ahead the clearances, leaving the necessary gaps in order to allow the set of harvester and tractor entry.

TYPES OF PPE

Safety Goggles: Eye protection against injury from the impact of particles and intense light radiations.

Mandatory use at all s tages o f mach ine operation.

Hearing Protection: Protection against harmful levels of noise. Prolonged exposure to noise can cause damage or hearing loss.

Mandatory use during machine operation.

Respirators: Protection for activities with chemical products, such as fertilizers, uncomfortable dust, etc.

M a n d a t o r y u s e i n t h e p r e s e n c e o f uncomfortable dust.

Gloves:Protection for the activities of engaging or disengaging equipment, as well as the handling of abrasive, sharp or perforating objects.

M a n d a t o r y u s e during coupling and uncoup l ing to the tractor, maintenance and handling of cutting parts (knives, counter knife, etc.).

Safety Boots:With reinforced toe cap for jobs in which there is danger of falling of materials and heavy objects.

Mandatory use during machine maintenance.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is any device of individual use intended to protect the health and physical integrity of the worker with the intention of also minimizing the risks of the work environment and promoting health, well being and avoiding accidents and occupational diseases , according to Regulation Standard nº 06 (NR-06) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MLE).According to the necessity of each activity, it is mandatory to use PPE during all stages of machine operation.

Do not open or remove covers and safety guards while the machine is turned on.Keep your hands away from the chain and other moving parts that may trap them, causing injury.

Keep safe distance and do not allow people near the feeding area while the machine is in motion. It is prohibited to manually feed the machine.

Meaning of safety stickers:

The safety stickers affixed to the machine warn of residual risks and alert to procedures to be adopted during the stages of machine use. � Keep all safety stickers visible and in perfect condition; � Immediately replace damaged or illegible stickers; � In cases of exchange of parts containing safety adhesives, it is mandatory to replace the stickers;

� For the purchase of new safety stickers contact your dealer.

In the development of the design, fixed safety protections have been adopted in hazardous areas of operation. All guards are fully shielded to prevent access to risky points. This measure aims to guarantee protection to operators and other people involved with the operation of this machine. Never use the machine without the safety guards! Replace damaged safety shields immediately.

In accordance with Regulatory Standard NR-12, "fixed protection" is considered to be the element specifically used to provide safety through a physical barrier. It must be held in its position permanently or by means of fastening elements that only allow its removal or opening with the use of tools.

2.10- Safety devices on board the machine

A - Head Cover:Protection developed to prevent contact with the chain and other ro ta t ing components o f the transmission (shafts, wheels, gears, etc.) during the operation of the machine.

Risk of removal of Head cover: Contact with the chain and/or sprockets, gears, etc., with the machine on may cause serious injuries such as fractures, kinks, etc.

2.11- Existing risks and necessary actions

Never try to clean or remove any material from the running machine. Any contact with the moving drums and you can be pulled into the machine. Risk of serious accident with limb amputation and/or death.

HOW TO ELIMINATE THE RISK: Never attempt to clean or perform any maintenance or adjustment when the machine is in motion. Turn off the tractor, remove the ignition key, and wait until the machine is without any movement before cleaning, adjusting, or servicing the harvester.

Never feed the machine manually. The drums pull the material before you can release it from your hands and you can be pulled into the machine. Risk of serious accident with limb amputation and/or death.

HOW TO ELIMINATE THE RISK: It is forbidden to feed this machine manually, it is not proper for this. Whenever necessary, use a chopper equipped with a feeding chute suitable for this purpose.

Even with the use of appropriate features and built-in safety protections, some residual risks remain while using this machine. This is due to some functional components such as drums and drum blades that need to be partially exposed for proper machine operation. The following list shows the risks involved in using this machine and the measures that must be taken by users.

Never get on the machine during its operation. Risk of falls with injuries to the spine, head and limbs. Risk of death if fall occurs in the feeding area (drums).

HOW TO ELIMINATE THE RISK: Never climb on the machine, neither during transport nor during operation.Turn off the tractor, remove the key from the ignition and wait until the machine is idle before approaching or climbing any part of the harvester.

Never approach your legs or feet on the drums while the machine is working. Contact with moving drum knives will cause very serious injury. Risk of disruption of the parts in contact with the knives.

HOW TO ELIMINATE THE RISK: Never approach the feeding area (drums and knives) while the machine is working. Keep yourself at a safe distance from the feeding area.Caution! The knives, when they are in motion, are almost imperceptible. Never approach or attempt to touch the machine if you are not sure that all components are completely stopped. Remember! After the machine is switched off, the drums remain in motion for some time due to inertia. Never approach these components without being sure they are completely stopped.

This Head is designed and built to be coupled to a New Pecus Harvesters, forming a compact set to harvest and chop several types of forage plants such as corn, sorghum, sugar cane, grass, oats and similar, regardless of line and direction, in conventional or intercropping, producing forage for silage or daily treatment of animals. Is is a very versatile equipment that allows the producer to transform one harvester of a row into a multi-forage precision harvester.

The PTN-1000 G3 which can be coupled to the NEW PECUS, forming a set capable of harvest independent of line and direction, in conventional or intercropping. It has two drums with individual knives that simultaneously harvest and collect plants in any direction. The harvested plants are sent to the harvester's feeding and processing system, where they are chopped with precision and uniformity.

This machine is designed exclusively for use in agricultural or similar operations and should only be used for its intended purpose, according to the specifications contained in the manual. Its use is prohibited in applications not mentioned. Compliance and strict observance of the operational conditions, maintenance and repairs, as specified by the manufacturer, are also essential elements of the intended use.Operation, maintenance, inspection and other operations on this machine must be carried out by competent, qualified, skilled or authorized workers for this purpose (item 12.135 of NR 12).The manufacturer is not responsible for any arbitrary modifications made to this machine. The Head mounted into a NEW PECUS Forage Harvester is positioned in the planting area and as it progresses, the crop is simultaneously harvested by the knives and collected by the drums. The harvested plants are pulled by the feeding drums and driven to the rotor where they are chopped. 4. Preparation

To unload or move the packed machine, always use a forklift. Do not hoist the packaged machine using winch, crane, etc.

The machine is packed when destined for export.

4.- PREPARATION

4.1- Reception

• Keep a safe distance when you lift the machine.

• Do not allow the presence of people near the machine during the lifting. Remember that it is possible for a side movement to happen, intentional or not, when the machine is suspended.

• Never stand under a suspended machine. • Lift the machine only by the appropriate

points indicated in the picture. The use of non-indicated lifting points can cause damage to the machine and cause a serious accident.

To lift the unpacked machine, a winch with appropriate capacity to the machine weigh must be used. In this case, always lift the machine by the points indicated in the picture.

4. Preparation

For coupling the head to NEW PECUS (first generation), it is necessary to upgrade the harvester to generation 2. In this case, you must purchase theG1 UPDATE KIT for G2. This update isnecessary for the perfect coupling ofthe Head to the machine.

4.2- Harvester Preparation

4.2.1- Remove the aligners

The necessary parts for the coupling are supplied with the Head. The procedure is the same for the harvesters with pulley and belt or gearbox and cardan.

1. Remove the fairing (A).2. Remove the 2 aligners (B).

NOTE!

If the harvester model has auxiliary roller:1. Remove the auxiliary roller (C).

11. Remove the 3 nuts (Q).

12. Remove the sharpener (R) from the machine.

13. Remove the bolt (U) from the sharpener. Turn the handle (V) until it comes out of the sharpener.

14. Remove the bearing housing (W) from the sharpener.

15. Replace it with the sharpener support that follows with the head.


4. Preparation

16. Refit the sharpener to the machine. Secureit with the 3 nuts and washers (Q).

17. Assemble the housing (Y) that is suppliedwith the head and fix it with the 3 bolts(X).

18. Place the cover (Z), supplied with the head.

19. Assemble the crown support components, as shown in the figure on the side.

20. Mount the crown support (A) on the machine housing. Secure the new support with the same 4 bolts removed from the old support.

The components mentioned above are found in the kit supplied with the head.

Remove the lower counter knife (F) and place the cover (P) on the bottom of the platform as follows:

1. Remove the lower counter knife (F) from the platform.

2. In the same place where the counter knife (F) was, put the cover (P). Secure the cover with the same 4 bolts that secured the counter knife (F).

4. Preparation

The head is provided a kit containing 6 narrow blades (all the same) and 6 wide blades (3 for the right feeding drum and 3 for the left feeding drum). These blades should be mounted on your feeding drums. The function of the blades is to keep the feeding drums clean by cutting vines and other crops that eventually wind up on the feeding drums, making it difficult to gather. Wide blades also assist in the gathering of harvested material. Note that the wide blades of the right feeding drum and the blades of the left feeding drum are different (the cutting edge is reversed). Narrow blades are all the same.

In general, the use of blades follows the following recommendation:

4.3- Blades of the feeding drums (New Pecus / New Pecus G2)

� Place 1 wide and 2 narrow blades on each feeding drum of the machine.

This arrangement is indicated for most crops and harvesting conditions. However, under certain harvesting conditions, the use of a different arrangement may yield a better result. If necessary, you can change the blades by observing the following:

� Crops with hard and thick stems: only narrow blades can be used on both feeding drums. There are 3 narrow blades on each feeding drum.

� Crops with soft and fine stems: You can use only the wide blades on the two feeding drums. There are 3 wide blades on each feeding drum. RIGHT

4.4- Mounting the Center Aligner and Aligners on the Head (New Pecus / New Pecus G2)

Normally, the aligner fingers and the central deflector (pictured on the side) leave the head disassembled from the factory. Mounting is simple by fixing them with the bolts, washers and nuts provided with the head.

1. Fix the 2 aligner fingers with the bolts (A) and washers (B) (picture on the side).

2. Fix the central deflector with the bolts (C), washers (B) and nuts (D) (picture on the side).

To gain space and facilitate transportation, the head is usually supplied with the bender removed. For assembly, follow the instructions below.

4. Preparation

Note that the bender (C) has several holes that allow it to be mounted in different positions. Adjust to the position that best fits the forage plant. Remember that the higher the plan, the higher the bender must be positioned and vice versa.

To facilitate the mounting of the head to the harvester, openings were placed on both sides. Before mounting the head, remove the head's access covers (R).

4.7- Transmission Mounting

The Head provides 5 different sprockets (with 11, 16, 20, 25 and 30 teeth). The different combinations of these sprockets provide different feeding drum speeds. It is recommended to start harvesting using the sprocket with 16 teeth on the machine and 25 teeth on the head. In this setting, the drums rotate at the speed that best fits most harvesting conditions. If necessary, test other sprocket combinations indicated in “DRUM SPEED”. Remember that the ideal speed depends on several factors, such as type, size and density of the crop to be harvested, harvesting conditions, etc.

PROCEDURE:


3. Fit the bottom (D) into the 2 pints (E) of the tensioner.

4. Fit the two gears (F).

5. Fit the sprocket (J) - 16 teeth.

6. Fit the sprocket (K) - 25 teeth.

7. Using a ruler, check if the sprockets are aligned.

8. If necessary, adjust the height of the sprocket (J) by changing the number of shims under it.

9. After aligning the sprockets, secure them to the shaft with the bolts and washers (L).

10. Fit the roller chain (N).

The 3 sprockets must work perfectly aligned, otherwise the roller chain will be damaged.

11. Adjust the chain using the tensioner (B). Loosen bolt (R) and push the tensioner (B) against the chain, eliminating slack. Retighten bolt (R).

By using different combinations of sprockets-wheels (A) and (B), different speeds of the drums are obtained. It is recommended to start harvesting using the sprockets A=16 teeth and B=25 teeth. In this setting, the drums rotate at the speed that best fits most harvesting conditions.The ideal speed of the drums depends on several factors, such as: type, size and density of the crop to be harvested, harvest conditions, etc. If necessary, perform practical tests with different speeds, until finding the one that best suits the crop that is being harvested.

To change the drums speed:

1. First, check to which chopping size the machine is set (see which pair of cutting gear (E) is being used on the machine);

2. Find on the following pages the chart corresponding to the pair of cutting gears mounted on the machine, for example: 18 and 13;

4.10- Transport

Whenever it is necessary to transport the machine over long distances or using public roads, transport must be carried out on a truck or cart.

The machine must be completely inside the bodyshell of the vehicle used for transport. Use cables, ropes, etc., in enough quantity to immobilize and keep the load stable on the truck or cart. Check the load conditions (loose cables, chocks and others) periodically during the trip. Always follow the current traffic regulations.Be aware of the total height of the load, especially under power grid, overpasses and others.

5. Operation

Work with the machine must only be carried out by qualified, qualified, trained or authorized professionals for this purpose. Operation without the necessary knowledge may result in improper operation with the risk of serious accidents.Attention when using the machine guarantees safety to all involved. 5.- OPERATION

At the beginning of each working day with the machine, the operator must inspect the operational and safety conditions and, if abnormalities that affect safety are detected, the activities should be interrupted until the corrections are implemented.Before switching on the machine, the nearest area must be controlled and released. Keep away from the machine persons not required for operation. There may be a risk of serious personal injury when unauthorized persons remain near the machine.

5. Operation

The harvest working speed shall be appropriate to the harvesting conditions and the characteristics of the product to be harvested. It is recommended to perform practical tests using different tractor speeds and observe which one that best adapts to the local conditions.

5.1- Harvest working speed

Harvesting forage grass species such as Brachiaria, Oats, Ryegrass, etc., due to their characteristics, requires higher harvest working speed in order to maintain proper volume and flow in the machine feeding. Under these conditions, the best result is obtained by harvesting with a minimum speed of 6 km/h.

DANGER!Make sure the tractor engine is turned off and the key has been removed from the ignition before unclogging the machine. Never approach the drums without being sure that the tractor engine is off and the machine without any movement.

5.2- Clearing (unclogging)

In case of obstruction (clogging) of the machine, unplug the power take-off and tractor engine immediately.

IMPORTANT!


6. Maintenance

CAUTION!

Lower the machine to the floor, turn off the tractor engine, engage the parking brake, remove the ignition key, and wait until all moving parts are completely stopped before maintenancing, adjusting, or repairing the machine.

Periodic maintenance, performed properly, is the most effective way to ensure maximum efficiency and durability for your machine.

6.- MAINTENANCE

According to Standard NR-12, interventions in the machine must be performed by qualified, qualified, trained or authorized professionals for this purpose.

REMEMBER: The use of non-original parts or accessories may damage the equipment, impair its operation and cause accidents, as well as forfeit the warranty. The manufacturer is not responsible for injuries or damages caused by the use of non-original parts and/or accessories.

The use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is mandatory when performing maintenance, adjustments or repairs to the machine.

6. Maintenance

6.1- General recommendations

� Never operate the machine for extended periods indoors and without ventilation, the carbon monoxide expelled by the exhaust fumes from the tractor is highly toxic.

� Keep the maintenance area clean. Wet or oily floors are slippery and dangerous.

� Always park the machine in a flat location.

� Use tools in good condition when performing any service on the machine.

� When replacing bolts and nuts, use the same specification as the original. Always use the proper torque as specified in the torque chart in this manual.

� Before starting a hydraulic repair, relieve pressure on the system.

� Tighten all nuts and bolts periodically.

� When completing a maintenance procedure, make sure all safety guards are installed before operating the machine.

� The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory during maintenance services on the machine.

� After the first 50 continuous working hours, it is essential to retighten all the fastening bolts on the machine.

CAUTION!

Never stand under hydraulic lifting equipment without proper restraints. Failure of the hydraulic system and equipment will fall, resulting in a serious accident. Use appropriate supports for raised weight.

6. Maintenance

Each drum is equipped with 6 reversible knives. The good conditions of use of these knives guarantee better performance of the Head. Immediately replace worn or damaged double-sided knives.

ATTENTION! Turn off the tractor and remove the ignition key before starting the following procedure.

1. Remove the 2 bolts (A), washers and nuts which fix the knife to be replaced;

2. Replace the knife (B) with a new one, securing it with the 2 bolts, washers and nuts (A);

3. Repeat for all worn or damaged knives.

The knives are reversible, when one side is worn out, mount it in the another drum, using its other side. Replace knives with both sides worn or damaged immediately.

6.3- Knives of the drums

6.3.1- Changing or reversing the drum knives

Reverse the drum knives by observing excessive wear.


6. Maintenance

The drums are equipped with 2 cleaners each. The function of these cleaners is to prevent the accumulation of material underneath the drums. Frequently check if the cleaners are in good condition.

6.4- Cleaners

ATTENTION! Turn off the tractor and remove the ignition key before starting the following procedure.

The cleaners are reversible, when one side is worn out, assemble it in the another drum, using its other side. Immediately replace worn or damaged double-sided cleaners.

To change the cleaners (K):1. Remove the bolt (N) using an Allen key

of 6 mm;2. Insert new cleaner and fix with the bolt

(N).

6. Maintenance

Chain working with inadequate slack causes noise, premature wear and may damage the chain.Check chain slack every 50 working hours or weekly and adjust as necessary.

Adjusting the transmission chain slack:

The adjustment is made through the sprocket wheel (A):1. Loosen the bolt (B).2. Push the sprocket wheel (A) against the

chain until clearance is released.3. Then re-tighten the bolt (B).

6.5- Adjusting the chain

After adjustment, be sure to retighten the bolt (B), otherwise the tensioner will loosen and the chain will be damaged.

NOTE!


Proper and regular lubrication is indispensable to guarantee a good performance and durability to the machine. The indicated intervals take into account their use under normal working conditions. In severe conditions, the intervals should be reduced. Periodic inspections and the use of clean and quality lubricants are recommended. Oils and lubricating greases contain additives which, in some situations, can be harmful to health. When using lubricants, it is important to:

6.6.1- Chain lubrication (D)

6.6.2- Bearing lubrication of the drums

Proper lubrication prolongs the service life, prevents oxidation and premature wear of the chains. Apply a light layer of special oil to chains, such as the MAXLUB ND-03 Bardahl.If available, use special chain lubricant (spray grease) as it provides more efficient lubrication between the chain pins and rollers.NOTE: Do not use ordinary grease on the chain as it does not penetrate the links and pins.Lubr i ca t ion pe r iod : Lubr i ca t ion i s recommended every 40 working hours, at the end of the day, while chains are still heated.Whenever it is necessary, wash them with kerosene or diesel fuel, using a brush.

The gears from drum gearbox are lubricated with lithium soap grease, NLGI 00 (Example: LUBRAX LITH-00).

6.7- Conservation

6.7.1- Daily cleaning

As important as preventive maintenance is your machine daily conservation. This special care consists of cleaning and protecting against the weather and corrosive effects of some products.Follow these recommendations to ensure a longer useful life of your equipment.

6.7.2- Annual overhaul

� Remove any crop residues from your machine.

� Do a thorough wash. Dry any water accumulated in the machine guards.

� Hydraulic components should only be cleaned with low pressure water jets to avoid damaging the seals.

It is recommended to perform, at the end of each season, a machine general overhaul at your dealer or at the factory.

� Do a completely and rigorously machine washing. � Dry any water accumulated in the machine guards. � Retouch the paint where it is needed. � Replace worn or damaged parts. � Apply anti-corrosive oil to the metal parts of the machine. � Lubricate properly. � Attention during cleaning work guarantees safety to all involved. � Wear safety clothing, gloves, and goggles during cleaning. Protect your body and face from splashes of dirt and oil. Insufficient body and face protection can cause severe skin and eye damage.

� Neutral Ph cleaners offer optimum machine protection. Products with very low or very high Ph may be corrosive when used on plastic or rubber surfaces.


6. Maintenance

CAUTION!

Before starting cleaning:• Park the machine in a flat location and

disconnect the power take-off from the tractor;

• Lower the equipment to the floor;• Disconnect the hydraulic components;• Stop the tractor and remove the ignition

key;• Engage the tractor's parking brake. Make

sure that the tractor can not move during cleaning. If necessary, fit the wheels.

• Cleaning and repairs should only be done with the machine turned off, the components completely stopped and the key removed from the ignition.

• Only touch the machine if you are sure there is no movement.

• There is a risk of a serious accident to contact with parts of the machine in motion.

6.7.3- Storage

In the period that the machine goes unused, before storing it, it is recommended to perform a general overhaul indicated in the previous item.

After overhaul: � Fully loosen the belts and drive chains (where fitted). � Remove the wheels. This will increase tire life (on models equipped with wheel).

� Store the machine in a dry place protected from the sun and rain. � Place the machine in a place where children can not access it. Restrict access to parts of the machine that can be moved manually.

7. Deactivation

This machine has been developed to offer a long service life, requiring the recommendations of this manual to be observed and followed. At the end of the lifespan, it will be necessary to promote the deactivation of the machine, giving the proper destination to the parts that compose it.The use of personal protective equipment (safety gloves and goggles) is essential when handling metal parts and lubricants.

Metal parts (plating, tubes, bars, cast iron, etc.)

They should be used for recycling. Scrap ferrous materials are sold to steelmakers and foundries that use them as raw material for steel production. We recall that in the process of recycling metals there is a considerable reduction in the use of energy and water, the emission of atmospheric pollutants and the contamination of the water, which contributes to the preservation of the environment.

Oils, greases, etc. They must be removed from the machine and intended for recycling. Know that used oils are hazardous waste and have to be properly handled, stored and intended so that the health of workers directly linked to their handling and the health of the population are not harmed. They should not be dumped on the ground or in waterways to avoid environmental contamination. Used or contaminated lubricating oil is a hazardous waste. Do not use it for any purpose. Return it to your dealer or hand it over to an authorized dealer.

Plastic parts (chute, fairings, reservoirs, etc.)
