ALIMAG, ALIMENTOS MAGALLANES, es una empresa familiar de alimentos y bebidas, ubicada en la ciudad de Punta Arenas, Patagonia Chilena.Fundada en 1996 con el objetivo de elaborar, envasar y distribuir variados tipos de alimentos provenientes del agro.En la actualidad, ALIMAG es reconocida por ser pionera en la elaboración de productos con frutos silvestres de Calafate y plantas de Ruibarbo, aportando los sabores de la Patagonia a la gastronomía regional. Ingredientes que junto al cordero y la centolla magallánicos, dan la bienvenida a quienes visitan esta austral ciudad de la Patagonia.Las mermeladas, salsas y licores de Calafate y Ruibarbo fueron los primeros productos elaborados por la empresa y dis-tribuidos a través de tiendas gourmet. Recientemente se incorporaron jugos, polvos e infusiones liofilizados de Calafate y Ruibarbo, productos 100% naturales ricos en antioxidantes.El nombre de la empresa es un reconocimiento al navegante portugués Hernando de Magallanes, quien descubrió el Estre-cho que lleva su nombre y que une a los océanos Atlántico y Pacífico.

Ingredients, that together with the Magellanic lamb and king crab, welcome those who visit this southern city of Patagonia.Calafate berries and Rhubarb jams, sauces and liquors were the first products elaborated by the company and distributed through gourmet stores. Recently, Calafate berries and Rhubarb lyophilized juices, powders and infusions were incorporated.The name of the company is due to the Portuguese navigator Hernando de Magallanes, who discovered the Strait that bears his name, which is the most important natural passage between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
