PROGRAMA IRIS
¿De qué se trata?
Programa de formación en lengua inglesa, gratuito e
innovador, impulsado por la Universidad Miguel
Hernández.
IRIS: Inglés Recomendado Integrado Semipresencial.
PROGRAMA IRIS
Es un programa de formación semi-presencial:
• 30-35 horas presenciales aprox. (según el calendario
académico)
• 90 horas on line aprox. a través de la plataforma
online (dependiendo de tu nivel de inglés)

¿Cuál es el objetivo del programa IRIS?
PROGRAMA IRIS
Objetivos principales:
• Que toda la comunidad universitaria de la UMH logre certificar
un nivel B2.
• Que los alumnos de la UMH tengan una herramienta gratuita
a su alcance para aprender y mejorar su inglés.
PROGRAMA IRIS
Consta de cinco niveles:

Cada nivel incluye 10 unidades
y los siguientes exámenes:
• Mid-term exam
• Final exam
• Resit exam

IRIS 1 Curso preparatorio para acceder a IRIS 2
IRIS 2 Curso preparatorio para obtener una certificación oficial B1: PET, ACLES,
TOEFL, EOI, ...
* Esta certificación oficial podrá convalidarse por 6 créditos ECTS.
IRIS 3 Curso preparatorio para acceder a IRIS 4
NOTA: Acceso directo a IRIS 3 con certificación oficial B1.
IRIS 4 Curso preparatorio para obtener una certificación B2: FCE, ACLES, EOI, …
* Esta certificación oficial podrá convalidarse por 12 créditos ECTS.
PROGRAMA IRIS
• Si acabas tu curso IRIS satisfactoriamente, podrás solicitar un
certificado en el Laboratorio de Idiomas de la UMH.
• IMPORTANTE: Este certificado no tendrá carácter oficial.

Una vez empezadas las clases, los alumnos que necesiten bajar de
nivel tendrán que enviar un e-mail al correo iris@idiomasumh.es
solicitando el cambio.
Las clases presenciales
abarcarán de la semana del
3 de octubre de 2016 a la
semana del 22 de mayo de
2017.
PROGRAMA IRIS
❖ EXAMEN PARCIAL (MID-TERM EXAM):
➢ Diseñado a modo de práctica; no hace media con el examen final.
➢ Se compone de las siguientes partes, con la siguiente ponderación:
■ 80 % → ejercicios de comprensión lectora y auditiva, gramática, vocabulario,
pronunciación, etc.
■ 10 % → ejercicio de expresión escrita: redacción (online)
■ 10 % → ejercicio de expresión oral (presencial)
➢ Es opcional. Sin embargo, sólo haciéndolo (y aprobando la parte del 80 %) en
el período estipulado, podrás saber si tus ejercicios de writing y speaking han sido
aptos o no aptos.
❖ EXAMEN FINAL (FINAL EXAM):
➢ Equivale al 100 % de la nota final.
➢ Se compone de las siguientes partes, con la siguiente ponderación:
■ 80 % → ejercicios de comprensión lectora y auditiva, gramática, vocabulario,
pronunciación, etc.
■ 10 % → ejercicio de expresión escrita: redacción (online)
■ 10 % → ejercicio de expresión oral (presencial)
➢ Es obligatorio obtener un 5 en cada una de esas partes para poder aprobar el
curso IRIS en la convocatoria de junio.

SPEAKING & WRITING
• Requisito para corregir las partes de speaking y writing: aprobar la
parte del 80 % en la plataforma (un 5 para todos los niveles).
• Ambas destrezas se calificarán con APTO (satisfactory) y NO APTO
(unsatisfactory). En los cursos certificadores (IRIS 2 e IRIS 4) se
dará, además, retroalimentación o feedback.
Períodos de exámenes:
MID-TERM EXAM:
• 16 - 20 enero 2017 (parte online)
• 23 - 27 enero 2017 (speaking presencial / Skype™)
FINAL EXAM:
• 29 mayo - 2 junio 2017 (parte online)
• 5 - 9 junio 2017 (speaking presencial / Skype™)

• 11 - 15 septiembre 2017 (speaking presencial / Skype™)
